Objectives
Sustainable construction is a key global issue. The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been actively promoting the implementation of sustainable construction practices within the industry, both at the project level and among practitioners, to collectively explore the economic, social and environmental impacts of the built environment.
In view of this, the CIC launched its first Sustainable Construction Award in 2018. The Award recognises sustainability best practices among projects and industry practitioners in particular of the young generation of the construction industry. The CIC also promotes continuous enhancements of sustainable construction in Hong Kong.
